About Us

Passionate About Inspiring Others

In today's fast moving haulage sector, a well informed and trained workforce is essential for any business to thrive and prosper.

At Logistical Training, we can help in the following ways...

Transport Manager CPC

Often seen as the last of the professions within our sector that does not have a mandatory requirement for periodic training, Transport Managers are expected to be "suitably qualified" and are to keep up to date with their compliance.

Nowadays, to gain their qualification they are required to pass examinations, the syllabus for which has been produced by the Department for transport (DfT). This is achieved with the completion and passing of Transport Manager CPC level 3 examinations set by a number of examination authorities, ours being the Chartered Institute of Logistics and transport (CILT)

Operator Licence Awareness Training (OLAT)

For suitably qualified transport managers, and operator licence holders, be they sole traders, partners in a firm, or directors within a limited company, then both the Traffic Commissioner and the DVSA are requiring proof of such professional's quintennial Continuous Professional Development (CDP).

Where such professionals are looking at potential complications such as:

  • a recent or pending Public Inquiry (PI) with the Traffic Commissioner

  • a rapid change in the company's OCRS score due to the issue of immediate PG9s or a PG9Ss

  • or may have recently had an arranged visit by the DVSA

...then you may well require some further assistance and training as proof of compliance.

Periodic Driver CPC

Any professional road user operating a vehicle in excess of 3,500kgs for "hire and reward" will most likely (unless specifically exempt) be required to have:

  1. gained their Initial Driver CPC after gaining their first vocational licence entitlement if issued after January 1997

  2. continue with the CPD with the completion of their Periodic Driver CPC quintennially

Other Courses

We provide a number of courses, predominantly on-site including Banksman / Traffic Marshall, Yard Shunter, Tail Lift and others for clients within the haulage sector.

Our methods and ethos...
